By downloading, installing, or using the Taper AI application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Company Information

Taper AI is developed and operated by Webair AI LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a company committed to building privacy-first healthcare technology solutions.

3. Description of Service

Taper AI is a mobile application designed to help users track and plan medication tapering schedules. The App provides tools for:

  • Creating personalized tapering schedules
  • Tracking mood and symptoms
  • Setting medication reminders
  • Monitoring progress over time

4. Medical Disclaimer & Physician Collaboration

Taper AI is designed to be used ONLY in collaboration with your licensed healthcare provider. The App is NOT a medical device and does NOT provide medical advice. It is intended solely as a tracking and planning tool to support—not replace—the guidance of your physician.

You Must Consult Your Doctor

  • Before starting any taper: Always get your physician's approval and guidance before beginning or modifying any medication tapering plan
  • Before making dose changes: Never adjust your medication dosage without explicit direction from your healthcare provider
  • When experiencing symptoms: Report any withdrawal symptoms, side effects, or concerns to your doctor immediately
  • For schedule adjustments: Any changes to your tapering schedule should be discussed with and approved by your physician

What Taper AI Does NOT Do

  • Does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations
  • Does NOT replace the judgment of a qualified healthcare professional
  • Does NOT guarantee safe tapering outcomes
  • Does NOT monitor your health or vital signs
  • Does NOT have access to your complete medical history

Your Responsibilities

By using Taper AI, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You will work with a licensed physician throughout your tapering journey
  • You will share your tapering data and progress with your healthcare provider
  • You understand that medication tapering carries risks and should only be done under medical supervision
  • You will seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe or concerning symptoms
  • You accept full responsibility for decisions made regarding your medication

⚠️ Warning

Stopping or reducing certain medications abruptly can be dangerous and potentially life-threatening. Medications such as benzodiazepines, antidepressants, opioids, and others require careful, gradual tapering under medical supervision. Never attempt to taper any medication without the direct involvement and monitoring of your healthcare provider.

5. User Responsibilities

As a user of Taper AI, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating tapering plans
  • Consult with healthcare professionals before making medication changes
  • Use the App only for its intended purpose
  • Keep your account credentials secure
  • Not use the App for any unlawful purpose

6. Account Registration

To use certain features of the App, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your personal information. Key points:

  • All health data is stored locally on your device
  • We do not have access to your medical information
  • Firebase is used only for authentication purposes

8. Intellectual Property

The App and all content, features, and functionality are owned by Taper AI and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taper AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for:

  • Health outcomes related to medication changes
  • Loss of data
  • Interruption of service
  • Any other damages arising from the use of the App

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Taper AI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

14. Apple App Store Terms

The following terms apply to your use of the App downloaded from the Apple App Store:

Acknowledgment

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Taper AI only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). Taper AI, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.

Scope of License

The license granted to you for the App is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the App may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.

Maintenance and Support

Taper AI is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services with respect to the App, as specified in these Terms or as required under applicable law. You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.

Warranty

Taper AI is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.

Product Claims

You acknowledge that Taper AI, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims you or any third party may have relating to the App or your possession and/or use of the App, including but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation, including in connection with the App's use of HealthKit or HomeKit frameworks, if applicable.

Intellectual Property Claims

In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Taper AI, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.

Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Third-Party Beneficiary

You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.

15. In-App Purchases

Taper AI is available as a one-time purchase that unlocks all features:

  • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
  • This is a one-time purchase—there are no recurring fees or subscriptions
  • Your purchase includes lifetime access to all current and future features
  • The purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device signed into the same account

Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple. Please visit Apple's support page for refund requests.
